Work experience:
R.Benedikta worked as an Art teacher from autumn 1987 to spring 2006. October 1995 till September 1998 she owned and worked in Art Gallery and atelier Skruggusteinn with three other artists. Moved to the South of France in 1999. Was living and painting in Sophia Antipolis. Went back to Iceland summer 2000, back to painting and teaching. Apart from that she has worked as a designer for showrooms at international fairs in Iceland for various firms and organisations such as Ministry of tourism, Tourist information in Iceland, City of Reykjavik, Ministry of transport, Corporation of Technical researchers of Industry, etc. She made window displays for the National Bank of Iceland 1988-1997. R.Benedikta has also designed and drawn book covers, posters and illustrated stories in magazines and a report for Corporation of Technical researches of Industry. December 2005 and January 2006 she stayed as Artist in Recidence in Vallauris (South of France). Moved to Luxembourg where she is working solely on her art since 2006.
